Sites for speed cameras chosen

MOBILE police cameras will be operating in north Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian from Monday, looking for speeding motorists.

Roads in and out of the Lothians from the Borders will also be targeted by the cameras, which can land drivers with three points on their licence and a £60 fine.

Lothian Safety Camera Partnership said it would be placing cameras at West Granton Road, Muirhouse Parkway, the A90 at Cramond and A70 in Balerno.

In Midlothian, the A68 through Pathhead and Cranston will be visited. In West Lothian, the routes targeted include roads through Longridge, Armadale and Breich.
