Shop staff fight off armed robber

TWO shop assistant have foiled an armed robbery after they challenged the thief and wrestled the weapon from his hand. Police in Paisley are now hunting the man, who targeted an off-licence in Glenburn Road on Saturday evening, but left empty-handed.

He is described as a white male who was wearing a blue parka jacket with green and white scarf over his face.
