Shop fights for animal rights

STAFF at a high street retailer will dress up as foxes, dogs, orangutans and chickens to highlight the issue of animal welfare in the run-up to the election.

Workers at Lush Cosmetics' Princes Street store will take to the streets today to put pressure on prospective MPs to make animal rights a priority.

The retailer is supporting lobby group Protecting Animals in Democracy, which vows to make public the names of candidates who want to see, among other things, a return to fox hunting.
