Shipyard worker’s MBE for charity

Clyde shipyard worker who has raised more than £1.4 million for good causes has been honoured with an MBE for his service to charity.

Willie McLachlan, a health, safety and environmental adviser at BAE Systems, has devoted the past 30 years to raising funds and giving time to a number of charitable organisations.
