Sheriff ruling on dog attack

A SHERIFF has ordered the destruction of a vicious bull terrier, which attacked a tiny West Highland dog in a public park.

Damien Brown’s Staffordshire was dangerously out of control when it ran towards the Westie, Livingston Sheriff Court heard.

Brown, 25, of Bathgate, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a dog which was dangerously out of control on September 20. Sheriff Donald Muirhead fined Brown £200 and ordered that his dog should be destroyed.
