Shelter charity shop bags help from MP Ian Murray

SHOPPERS looking to pick up a bargain did a double-take when they were served by a familiar face.

Ian Murray, MP for Edinburgh South, put in a shift at charity Shelter Scotland’s Morningside shop yesterday, volunteering to sort donations and put out stock – before getting behind the counter himself.

The shop is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary, and Mr Murray said: “I was delighted to see the terrific work being done by staff.”
