Sheep used to create unique Google Street View footage

Instead of waiting for Google to make their way to their remote location in the north Atlantic, the people of the Faroe Islands have decided to create their own unique street view - using sheep as camera operators.

360-cameras have been attached to five sheep across the island with harnesses used to keep them in place.

The images are then sent back to Sheep View 360 headquarters where Durita Dahl Andreassen uploads them to Google Street View.

“Here in the Faroe Islands we have to do things our way. Knowing that we are so small and Google is so big, we felt this was the thing to do,” says Andreassen.
