Sexual health lessons in jail

HUNDREDS of thousands of pounds is to be spent on giving young prisoners lessons in sexual health.

The Edinburgh-based Caledonia Youth organisation has secured 200,000 of funding from five sources to run the initiative over the next five years.

The service said the scheme would help improve awareness among some of the poorest educated young people in Scotland, and help them develop relationships in later life.

Chief executive Hawys Kilday said: "It is initially about how to maintain relationships while apart or coping with a relationship ending."
