Sexual health expert retires

A SEXUAL health expert has spoken of her sadness at retiring before the opening of a new facility in the city.

Anna Glasier, who made a huge impact on sexual health services over 30 years with NHS Lothian, was instrumental in planning the new Chalmers one-stop facility in Lauriston, due to open next year.

She said: "It really is a measure of how far the service has come in my time with NHS Lothian.

"When I joined, family planning and sexual health were 'Cinderella' services, but it has been transformed."
