Sexual health clinic opened

A NEW sexual health centre - the first of its kind in the UK - has opened its doors.

The 9 million facility at the former Chalmers Hospital in Lauriston will provide a "one-stop shop" for conditions such as herpes and chlamydia.

It has been built not only to provide an improved service for testing, diagnosis and treatment, but to address the growing problem of sexually transmitted diseases among all age groups in the Lothians.
