Serving up a Burns treat

THE traditional Burns celebrations were given an unusual east-west fusion yesterday, as the crew of Edinburgh Inspiring Capital – Scotland's entry in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race – brought the Bard to Singapore.

On a floating stage, chefs paired haggis with roti prata, a local pancake dish, as part of a culinary competition.

There was also whisky, that had been specially flown in, and a bagpipe show.
