Emergency services are in attendance after a serious crash involving two vehicles in Grantshouse, Berwickshire this morning.

The crash happened in the Borders village at around 9.30am this morning with reports of an overturned vehicle.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance following a report of a serious road crash involving two vehicles on the A1 at Grantshouse around 9.30 am on Monday December 28.

"The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.”

Traffic Scotland noted that the road closed in both directions due to the collision and road users are advised to use an alternative route.

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
