Sentence delay for broken ban

A CONVICTED paedophile has had his sentencing for breaking an order banning him from speaking to children delayed to determine whether he is suitable for community service.

Ex-squaddie Douglas McNaught, 61, has admitted breaking the terms of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) less than a year after it was imposed.

Sheriff Neil MacKinnon delayed sentencing while he sought a medical report.

Sentencing is now set for next month.
