Seminars aim to piece together chessmen's past

A SERIES of free seminars exploring the origins of the Lewis Chessmen is to be held at the National Museum of Scotland.

Six Lewis Chessmen from National Museums Scotland and 23 from the British Museum are currently on display at the museum. The Lewis Chessmen: Unmasked will use new research to look at the mystery and intrigue surrounding the chessmen and explore stories surrounding their discovery.

The seminars are being held every day this month.
