Search for son of Hearts star

THE son of Hearts legend Gary Mackay is being sought by police after failing to attend court to face trial for allegedly assaulting and robbing a 72-year-old man and stealing £11,000.

Ryan Mackay was arrested by police investigating the mugging of Mahmud Amjad, who was allegedly attacked in Clovenstone Park on February 7 last year.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of the 24-year-old after he failed to appear for trial last month. A police spokesman confirmed that the warrant remained “live”.
