Search finds anglers’ boat

Police have recovered a boat used by two fishermen who died after falling overboard in a reservoir.

David Archibald, 59, and 56-year-old Andrew Conlon, from Dalkeith in Midlothian, were reported missing on Sunday after failing to return from fishing at Gladhouse Reservoir in Gorebridge.

The bodies of the two friends were recovered from the water on Monday morning following a police and RAF helicopter search.

Specialist search teams from Lothian and Borders Police recovered the boat yesterday.
