Scots doctor wins race at North Pole

A SCOTTISH doctor has won a marathon at the North Pole.

Dr Andrew Murray, Scotland’s physical activity champion, came first out of 41 competitors from 18 countries, running 26.2 miles in temperatures of minus 26C. With a finish time of four hours and 17 minutes, he is the first Scottish winner of the North Pole Marathon.
