Scotch theft leads to jail

A SHOPLIFTER has been sent to prison after swiping two 
bottles of whisky.

Gary Ramsay was charged with theft after he was caught with the stolen bottles.

At Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday, he was sentenced to 140 days in prison for the offence.

Ramsay, 38, of Armadale, West Lothian, pleaded guilty to stealing the whisky at Scotmid in Armadale on February 11.

He admitted six pages of 
previous convictions.
