Science and fun week

A SERIES of events marking National Science and Engineering Week is to take place in Penicuik this month.

The events will include a talk by Dr Andy Buckley, a scientist at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, who will discuss the large hadron collider and its exploration into the origins of the universe.

Science and engineering week runs from March 10 to 17 and will also look at ecology, hydrology and host “have-a-go” days for the young.
