Schoolboy artist is immortalised as doll in Brazil

SCHOOLBOY artist Jack Henderson is set to be immortalised in doll form after a Brazilian company made a one-off version of the youngster.

The seven-year-old raised more than £30,000 for the Sick Kids and was recently named Child Fundraiser of the Year at the Pride of Britain Awards.

Jack, who was originally from Prestonpans, East Lothian, has now moved to near San Francisco with his family, said he was delighted at the creation of the new toy.

Parents Ed and Rose Henderson are now in talks about the possibility of making a line of toys based on the youngster’s drawings.

Brazilian company Rabisquedo offered to turn one of Jack’s many drawings into a toy to mark the publication of the book Jack Draws Anything in Brazil. However, the company kept which doodle they had chosen a surprise, leaving Jack with no idea they had chosen a drawing of him for inspiration.

After seeing himself in toy form, Jack said: “Thank you very much for making my toy, I like the shape and colours, it looks just like my
drawing.”
