School shows true colours

AN East Lothian school has unveiled a brand new look after being donated paint to transform a children’s play area.

Wallyford Primary School’s unwelcoming concrete area outside the infant classrooms was freshened up as part of the Dulux Let’s Colour mission.

Local artist Linda McCann was enlisted by the school to design four spaces, with help from 43 enthusiastic children.

Deputy head teacher Mhairi Stratton said: “We are extremely grateful to the Let’s Colour Project. We are so happy that we have been able to make our dreams a reality, and without the support from Dulux, it would never have happened.

“The project has definitely brought the community closer, with people from all walks of life pulling together.”
