Scaffolding collapse brings traffic chaos

Evening rush-hour traffic in Edinburgh suffered severe disruption yesterday, after scaffolding in a city-centre street started to collapse.

It was being used in the demolition of a brewery building in Dundee Street, and the road was closed for three hours until 9.30pm to allow the remaining scaffolding to be removed.
