Sara leaves book festival

The Edinburgh International Book Festival has announced that it is looking for a new director for its RBS Children's and Education Programme.

Sara Grady will be leaving in the New Year after four years in the role.

Ms Grady said: "I came to Scotland from the US for nine months, and stayed for six years. After four book festivals I have done what I set out to do and have grown the programme and the post in ways I could never have imagined.

"Although very sad to be leaving Scotland, I am ready for new challenges."
