Salmond leads prayer event

FIRST Minister Alex Salmond is to join the former head of the army General Sir Richard Dannatt to address the National Prayer Breakfast for Scotland in Edinburgh.

Mr Salmond will give the opening address at the event, on 2 June in the Hilton Grosvenor Hotel. Sir Richard will address the gathering on the theme "leadership in turbulent times".

Others taking part include Annabel Goldie MSP, Karen Gillon MSP, and Hugh Munro, Inspector of Prisons in Scotland.
