Russian tycoon's conviction upheld

A MOSCOW appeal court has upheld the second conviction of tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky for stealing tens of billions of dollars worth of oil from his own company and laundering the proceeds.

However, it reduced his 14-year prison sentence by one year, meaning he will be released in 2016.
