AN EXHIBITION of the artwork of Bob Dylan at the City Art Centre is to be extended by popular demand.

Over 26,000 people have visited The Drawn Blank Series exhibition so far and because of ongoing demand, the exhibition will be extended by one week to March 22.

City culture leader Deidre Brock said: "This is the only chance to see the Dylan exhibition in Scotland so we're extending its run at the City Art Centre so as many people as possible get the chance to experience the artistic creativity of one of the world's most acclaimed songwriters."

Based on drawings and sketches made by Dylan from 1989 to 1992, the paintings echo the hallmarks of Dylan's poetry and music.

The singer, who has more than 110 million record sales to his name, started his art in an effort to "refocus a restless mind".
