Rotary club makes a splash with fountain plaque upgrade

The Rotary Club of Rothesay recently arranged for the upgrading of the commemorative plaque on Rothesay Esplanade Fountain which highlights the refurbishment of the fountain undertaken in celebration of the Centenary of Rotary International.

Ronnie Falconer from the club, said: “The resplendent fountain has for many years provided a focal point for both locals and visitors alike.

“The refurbishment, coordinated by the rotary club as a community project, was completed on August 18, 2005 and was supported by local and national organisations and individuals whose names are inscribed on the upgraded plaque.”

Meanwhile, district governor Jim Ross recently met the newly installed president of the Rotary Club of Rothesay club, Jim Findlay. The Rotary Club of Rothesay’s Club Assembly was held on June 28 where he assumed the Presidency.
