Road smash cyclist dies

A CYCLIST who suffered 
serious head injuries after being knocked off his bike almost two weeks ago has died in hospital.

John Barr, 64, from West Saltoun in East Lothian, was cycling along the B709 Traquair to Innerleithen road on Thursday, September 27 when he collided with a Honda Civic.

He suffered serious head, leg and pelvic injuries in the collision. He died in hospital at around 3am on Wednesday.
