Ringing the changes for the Paralympics

THE Paralympic Agitos has been lifted on to The Mound in place of the Olympic rings ahead of the Games, which start next week.

On Sunday, the Paralympic flame will reach the Capital with an evening celebration of live music and entertainment, including a performance by Joe McElderry at Meadowbank Sports Centre.

The highlight of the event will be a spectacular lantern procession which will accompany eight torchbearers as they carry the flame to light the Ceremonial Cauldron.
