Rewire required £116k

POLICE chiefs spent more than £100,000 renting out temporary accommodation for officers and staff while Leith Police Station had a revamp. Officers moved from the Queen Charlotte Street station last January while rewiring work was carried out.

A building in Commercial Street in Leith was rented out for nine months for 116,440.

The figures were released in a budget report.
