Revived bar looks to pull
in the Stockbridge punters

A CITY bar which has been closed since March is set to reopen later this week.

The former Raconteur and Dean Bar in Stockbridge will open its doors on Wednesday under the new name of The Raeburn.

The new management team at the Dean Street venue of Norval Barclay and Stuart Thom said they hoped to improve links with the local community, and add variety to the selection of bars in the upmarket area.

Mr Barclay said: “It’s hugely exciting for us, and we can’t wait to get up and running.

“We’re hoping to appeal to families and anyone in the area that enjoys spending time in a traditional pub.

“We are opening fairly quietly and will officially launch in the autumn.

“The activity in and around the pub has already sparked a lot of interest from neighbours and people working nearby.

“Using The Raeburn name is in keeping with the local area.”
