Restoration projects handed £2m boost

Heritage and restoration projects in the Capital are to benefit from a £2.145 million grant from Historic Scotland and the Scottish Government.

The funding, which will be spread over three years, is the latest grant to Edinburgh World Heritage, which will enable work to be carried out on historic buildings and monuments.

It will be used projects including the restoration of St Bernard’s Well, which will receive around £60,000, and the rejuvenation of 12 historic closes in the Old Town.
