Restaurant is sole winner of 4 rosettes

A CITY restaurant has become the only one in the UK to earn four rosettes in the latest AA guide.

Michelin-starred 21212, in Royal Terrace, was described as showing “intense ambition” since being opened by chef Paul Kitching and his partner Katie in 2009.

The accolade is held by just five other restaurants in Scotland, including those owned by Capital chefs Martin Wishart and Tom Kitchin and Martin Wishart, and Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles.

Mr Kitching, who was previously head chef at Juniper, near Manchester, said: “I’m thrilled. The rosettes are a real boost to all the staff in recognising what we’re doing here at 21212.”

Mr Fairlie said: “This is testament to Paul’s skill in the kitchen and Katie’s approach to relaxed and professional
service.”
