Restaurant boss rapped

THE owner of an upmarket New Town restaurant has been disqualified as a director for five years for refusing to co-operate with the liquidator of his firm.

The Insolvency Service said Angus Niven failed to provide accounting records for the Iglu Bar and Bistro on Jamaica Street after it went into liquidation in 2011. This meant the liquidator was unable to find out why the 37-year-old’s firm became insolvent or how it was landed with its debts.
