Residents urged to have say on future of housing

Time is running out for residents to have their say on future housing policies in Midlothian.

The local authority is inviting comment on its draft five-year Local Housing Strategy before the consultation period ends this Friday.

It is seeking the views of council and private tenants as well as homeowners.

Cabinet member for Housing Owen Thompson said: “I want to encourage all local residents to have their say on our draft Housing Strategy.

“Housing conditions affect everybody and our draft strategy sets out how we plan to tackle one of the biggest challenges facing Midlothian.

“Remember – your views will play a major role in shaping the final version of the strategy, so be sure to have your say before Friday.”
