Residents asked for say on new community hub design

Dalkeith residents are being given the chance to have their say on the design of the new Woodburn community hub at a public meeting.

Organised by the committee of Dalkeith Miners’ Welfare Club with support from Midlothian Council’s Community Learning and Development team, the meeting will take place in the Big Hall on Thursday from 7.30pm to 9pm.

Elected members and council officers will be in attendance on the night to consider what local residents have to say.

Midlothian Council has said feedback from residents will form an important part in shaping the design of the new facility.

Community development spokesman, Councillor Peter Boyes, said: “We’re keen to involve the whole community as much as possible in the development of this important new community facility.

“This meeting will give residents an opportunity to let us know what they want to see from their new community hub.

“I strongly encourage everyone to come along on the night and make their voice heard.”
