Rescuers battling to save whale calf

RESCUERS were last night trying to save a distraught whale calf that which had got stuck in a harbour in Harris.

The 14ft minke whale, believed to be only a few months old, became separated from its mother, who was spotted a mile away.

The British Divers Marine Life Rescue were hoping to coax the whale out of Leverburgh Harbour on the high tide.
