Record cash at duck race

A RECORD £2068 was raised at the 11th annual Bonnyrigg duck race.

The money will be split between the charities Children 1st and the Scottish Huntington’s Association.

The event, which was held on Sunday, was officially started by Olympic medal-winning rower Sarah Winckless.

Ms Winckless, who is the current chairwoman of the British Olympic Association’s athletes commission, is also the patron of the Scottish Huntingdon’s Association.
