Reality show winner back in the force

Jonny Gibb, 39, has reportedly been accepted back into Lothian and Borders Police after he found the millionaire lifestyle too tame.

Mr Gibb braved shark-infested water, crocodiles and poisonous frogs to win the seven-figure prize, and left CID to enjoy his winnings.

He climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, trekked through Asia and volunteered at an Indian leper colony before pursuing other career options, including as a DJ and a failed bid to become an STV presenter.

A friend reportedly said: "He's not going back for financial reasons as he has been very sensible with the money. He's just a bit of an action man."

Police reportedly accepted Mr Gibb's reapplication before the force's recruitment freeze.
