Rangers goalkeeper in sex allegation

POLICE have confirmed an investigation has been launched into allegations that Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor sexually assaulted a young woman.

A Strathclyde police spokesman said last night : "We can confirm we have received a complaint which is being investigated."

Mr McGregor has not been arrested and in reports denied the claim as a "vile lie".
