Rail chiefs bid to cut suicide

RAIL bosses are working with the charity Samaritans in an attempt to reduce the number of suicides on the network.

New figures show the number of suicides on the network across Britain fell by 11 per cent in the last year to 207.

It follows a 5 million investment from Network Rail which helps fund intervention training for staff, support for drivers after trauma and Samaritans' support for individuals.
