Racers power way to city

A TEAM of powerboat racers are on their way to Edinburgh during the sixth leg of their ambitious Round Britain Charity Challenge.

Working with the Rotary Club of South Queensferry, the crew left Salcombe, Devon, this morning and plan to arrive at Port Edgar next Wednesday.

They will stay overnight in the Capital before setting off for Grimsby.

Some of the funds raised will be donated to the Children’s Hospice Association of Scotland, with the crew aiming to complete a 2000-mile clockwise route around Britain in 11 days.
