Queen letter cheers pupils

THE Queen has delighted Dirleton Primary by sending them a message to mark the building’s centenary year.

In her letter written by a lady in waiting, the Queen thanked the youngsters for their correspondence, which included drawings of Queen Victoria and the Duchess of Cambridge.

It read: “The Queen wishes me to thank you for your
letters.

“The Queen thought it kind of you to tell her you will be celebrating the centenary of your school on September 16, and Her Majesty hopes that you will have a very happy day.”
