Pupils talk it to semi-final

CITY pupils are among 16 debating teams to go through to the semi-finals of a national competition after contesting the merits of allowing court cases to be filmed.

The winning pupils – from Craigmount High School, The Edinburgh Academy and Stewart’s Melville College – were among the 62 teams competing in the second-round heats of the Law Society of Scotland’s Donald Dewar Memorial Debating Tournament.
