Pupils shown illegal traps

YOUNGSTERS have been learning how to spot illegal animal traps during a school visit from a wildlife crime officer.

Pupils at primary schools in Innerwick and Stenton in East Lothian were visited by Pc Gavin Ross, who has a joint role as Dunbar’s community beat officer and the wildlife crime officer for the county.

Pc Ross showed the pupils a number of different legal and illegal traps that police regularly come across, and urged them to report any illegal traps they find to police.
