Pupils praised by inspectors

CHILDREN at a West Lothian primary have been described as "well-behaved and courteous" by school inspectors.

The HMIe inspectors highlighted the "caring ethos" at Polkemmet Primary School and nursery class in Whitburn. They also praised the positive morale and teamwork amongst staff.

The school has agreed to involve children in planning for their learning and teachers will continue to develop arrangements for assessing progress.
