Public views sought on development

A SERIES of public consultation events are to be held on plans for a major residential development next to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Developer Sheratan wants to build on nearly ten acres of land on the derelict Edmonstone Estate at Little France.

Its plans include around 100 two-storey family homes, as well as new roads and landscaping that will help to progress separate development and a new private hospital.

Sheratan believes that residential development will get regeneration of the area back on track.

Its first “engagement” event is planned for February 2 from 3pm until 4.45pm and 6.15pm-8.15pm at the Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre.

Ewan McIntyre of EMA Architects said: “We are delighted to be able to put our very initial proposals for this residential development to the local community, and to hear and take on board feedback.”
