£80k drugs haul seized

POLICE seized heroin worth around £80,000 which was found in a suitcase during a raid in Wester Hailes.

Officers searched an address in Hailesland Park last Thursday and seized 800 grams of heroin and more than £1500 in cash.

A 48-year-old man was set to appear in court in connection with alleged drug offences.

A search of a flat in Calder Gardens on Tuesday also recovered heroin and cannabis worth around £200.

A 28-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were due in court.
