£14m claim over botched transplant

A MAN who nearly died during an operation to donate a kidney to his father is claiming High Court damages of £14 million for his "catastrophic" injuries.

The man, who cannot be named, was the victim of negligence during the surgery in 2008. He is suing Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, who admit liability.
