Provost off to Abu Dhabi do

THE Lord Provost is to travel to the Abu Dhabi Science Festival to promote the Capital.

Donald Wilson’s trip comes after the Edinburgh International Science Festival begun a collaboration with its Gulf counterpart.

He said: “A key challenge for us in raising Edinburgh’s profile in the Middle East is finding niche areas of activities on which to build on our profile and connections.

“Cultural, educational and economic linkages are already developing well, but I see our strengths in science and technology as presenting yet another fantastic opportunity.”
